Sculptures
I have been drawing and making things as long as I can remember. Eighteen years ago, I discovered that I had become a sculptor. After experimenting with many different materials, processes and themes, I kept coming back to clay and wire as my primary media. As for the subject matter, I have an abundance of inspiration—stacks and stacks of sketchbooks give testament to that. And it is a joy when inspiration strikes so strongly that it leads to multiple works in a cohesive theme.
On these pages are some of my latest themed works. The larger figures are glazed, low-fire ceramic and all of the tools and accessories are fashioned by hand from a variety of materials.
Most recently, I have starting making figures from Bronze. It is a long, work-intensive process, but the end result is well worth the effort.
